Oct 4 Anne Carson at Poets House

An evening of Ancient Greek poetry begins with a performance of Bracko, orchestrated by Anne Carson (APS13) and Robert Currie, based on Carson's translations If Not, Winter: Fragments of Sappho. Following, Yopie Prins, author of Victorian Sappho, will present a talk on Homer's influence on Sappho.

This event is part of Poets House's 25th anniversary celebration, one of a series of 25 programs that trace 3,000 years of poetry.
